Examination procedures In Person, Live Stream and Video

The Board of Directors is pleased to announce that the Association offers Live Stream and Video examinations in addition to In-Person (face-to-face examinations). A new detailed document has been produced for members, providing instructions on how the examination service is offered. We are offering three options for members;

UK Members: 1. Examiner Present (preferred option), 2. Live Streaming using the Zoom platform 3. Video examinations.

International Members: 1. Examiner Present (UK Examiner or Examiner based in your country), 2. Live Streaming using the Zoom platform 3. Video examinations

All members who wish to book an examination session should download the request form from the members area.

Please read the documentation issued carefully, as there are variations in the timetabling of sessions and to the examination that may be entered In-Person, by live streaming and by video. The appendices 1, 2 and 3 have been updated. The main changes relate to the examinations which can be entered by video and those which must be entered In Person or by Live Stream. Please see the Update and Overview section in the new Examination Procedure Guides, which explain the changes.

We hope that you will appreciate that the Board of Directors and Quality Assurance Panels have worked to ensure the integrity, security and standards of the IDTA’s examinations and to minimise the risks to all involved in the examination service.

We strongly recommend that teachers make decisions about whether to enter candidates for examinations by talking to the candidates and their parents or guardians and ensure the candidates are ready and prepared for the examinations.

From 1st May 2023, the new examination procedures detailed in this document will apply.

Please note, minor updates highlighted.
